April 2026 Athlete of the Month
Adam Gohl
Coach’s Thoughts: Adam is the kind of athlete every coach loves having in class. He shows up consistently with a great attitude, a smile on his face, and a willingness to put in the work. He’s coachable, friendly, and brings strong effort every single day.
Beyond that, Adam moves really well, lifts heavy, and stays focused on maintaining solid form. He’s always looking for ways to improve and never backs down from the hard stuff — honestly, he seems to enjoy the grind (and even the soreness). His work ethic and positive energy make him awesome to coach and even better to have as part of the community. Well deserved, Adam!
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I got started because my wife Paige (prior AOTM) wanted to establish a new healthy habit heading into our wedding year. We joined CCF in March 2025 so have been going for over a year now.
Favorite Movement?
Favorite movements are squats, deadlifts!
What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to start CrossFit?
CCF is an incredibly welcoming place and once you overcome the brief fear that naturally comes with trying something new, you will quickly feel among friends!
Favorite thing about CCF?
I love the honest feedback and accountability of the coaches. I have received tons of constructive advice and can feel the improvements to my lifting mechanics immediately!
What do you do when you’re not at CCF (job, hobbies, other fitness, etc)?
Like many in our region, I work in the auto industry (Nissan). At Nissan I work in the crash safety department, so I get to crash cars and improve the safety of the vehicle by identifying ways to reduce injury risk to the occupants. On weekends, I enjoy fixing things in our North Corktown home that was built in 1890 (there's always something to fix)!
What is your next big fitness goal?
I'd love to start to be able to do more gymnastics movements without always scaling! My toes to bar and pull ups need a lot of work, but I would like to be able to start consistently doing these movements this year!
