September 2026 Athlete of the Month

Chelsea Jackle

Coach’s Thoughts: Despite a very demanding schedule, Chelsea is one of those people who just makes class better. She’s super coachable, always has a good attitude, and somehow manages to have fun even when she is the only person at a 40 minute emom, Chelsea knows when to scale, when to send it, and when pretending the coach didn’t say “one more round” is probably the right move. She works hard, trains smart, and is always a great person to have in class. Very deserving of Athlete of the Month.

  1. How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I started at CrossFit AZO while I was going to college at Western Michigan University. That makes it about 10 years.

  2. Favorite Movement?

    I LOVE double-unders. And cleans!

  3. What advice would you give to someone who is hesitant to start CrossFit?

The best thing about CrossFit is how infinitely scalable it is. You can make the workouts exactly what you need. You’re in charge of your workouts! (And the coaches are there to help—they’re super knowledgeable and caring.)

  4. Favorite thing about CCF?

    The community, of course!

  5. What do you do when you’re not at CCF (job, hobbies, other fitness, etc)?

I’m a dietitian and I manage the science communications team at a probiotic company. When I’m not working, you can probably find me trying new restaurants or enjoying live music somewhere.

  6. What is your next big fitness goal?

I’d love to do a CrossFit comp again
